The Non-Resident Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to the Maldives, Her Excellency Dr. Siri Walt paid a farewell call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Her Excellency Iruthisham Adam, this morning.
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Iruthisham expressed sincere appreciation to Ambassador Dr. Walt for her dedicated service and valuable contributions towards enhancing the cordial relations and cooperation between the Maldives and Switzerland throughout her tenure.
The Minister and Ambassador Walt exchanged views on ways to further strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest and reaffirmed the commitment of the Maldives to continue close collaboration with Switzerland on both bilateral and multilateral levels.
Minister Iruthisham expressed the importance placed by the Government of Maldives to enhance the existing ties of friendship and cooperation with Switzerland and extended her best wishes to the Ambassador in her future endeavours. She also expressed support and cooperation to the incoming Non-Resident Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation.
The Minister was accompanied by Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Aminath Shabeena, Senior Political Director, Mr. Ahmed Haanee Naeem, Deputy Desk Officer, Ms Khadeeja Aufiyau and Deputy Desk Officer, Ms Aminath Iba Abdulla Rasheee, during the meeting.
