The Non-Resident High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to the Maldives His Excellency Soo Kok Leng, paid a farewell call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Iruthisham Adam this afternoon.
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Iruthisham Adam conveyed appreciation for the invaluable contributions by High Commissioner Leng during his tenure. She also expressed gratitude to the Government of Singapore for their continued support and assistance to the Maldives. Minister Iruthisham also acknowledged close collaboration between Maldives and Singapore on matters related to Small Island States.
High Commissioner Soo Kok Leng expressed his appreciation to the Government and the people of the Maldives for the cooperation and friendship extended to him during his tenure. He further conveyed the commitment of Singapore to further strengthen the close bilateral ties and friendship between the two countries.
Minister Iruthisham expressed the importance placed by the Government of Maldives to advance the close relations with Singapore and extended her best wishes to the High Commissioner in his future endeavours. She also expressed support and cooperation to the incoming Non-Resident High Commissioner of Singapore.
