Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Iruthisham Adam, held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of External Affairs of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar, today.
During the meeting, both the Ministers reviewed the longstanding partnership between the two countries and reaffirmed their commitment to continue working closely, both bilaterally and in international fora, on priority areas of mutual interest. Minister Iruthisham also acknowledged the close cooperation between Maldives and India and expressed appreciation for the ongoing socio-economic development projects facilitated through Indian grant assistance and line of credit initiatives.
Minister Iruthisham is currently undertaking her first Official Visit to India at the Invitation of the Minister of External Affairs of India.
