The first accredited Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Maldives, His Excellency Shalar Geldynazarov paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Her Excellency Iruthisham Adam today. Ambassador Shalar Geldynazarov presented his letter of credence to the President of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, at a ceremony held at the President’s Office this morning.
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Iruthisham congratulated Ambassador Shalar Geldynazarov on his appointment and expressed confidence that his appointment would pave the way to further strengthening the bilateral relations between the Maldives and Turkmenistan.
Exchanging views on enhancing the friendly bilateral relations between the two countries, both Minister Iruthisham and Ambassador Shalar Geldynazarov also reiterated their commitment to continue working closely on issues of mutual interest at the multilateral fora.
Minister Iruthisham was accompanied by Foreign Secretary, Fathimath Inaya, Secretary, Aminath Shabeena, and Assistant Director Aishath Jumana.
