The newly appointed Non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Maldives, Her Excellency Patricia Lázara Pego Guerra paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Her Excellency Iruthisham Adam this morning, following the presentation of her Letters of Credence to His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, President of the Republic of Maldives, at a ceremony held at the President’s Office earlier today.
Foreign Minister Iruthisham congratulated Ambassador Patricia Lázara Pego Guerra on the presentation of her Letters of Credence to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
During the meeting, Ambassador Patricia Lázara Pego Guerra conveyed her appreciation to the Foreign Minister for her good wishes and assured her commitment to strengthen relations between Maldives and Cuba during her tenure.
The Minister and the Ambassador discussed strengthening the bilateral relations between the Maldives and Cuba across various sectors, especially in the health sector, to further enhance the cooperation between both nations.
Minister Iruthisham Adam was accompanied by Foreign Secretary, Her Excellency Fathimath Inaya, Secretary, Her Excellency Dr. Hala Hameed, Senior Political Director, Mr. Ahmed Haanee Naeem and Assistant Director, Ms. Aminath Warudha.
