The newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassador of Republic of Slovenia to the Maldives, His Excellency Tomaz Mencin paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Iruthisham Adam, following the presentation of his Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, at a ceremony held at the President’s Office today.
Minister Iruthisham Adam congratulated Ambassador Tomaz Mencin on the presentation of his Letters of Credence to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
During the meeting, the Minister discussed potential areas of cooperation, including education, climate change, trade, tourism and multilateral initiatives of mutual interest. The Minister also reaffirmed the commitment of the Government of the Maldives to working closely with the Ambassador to further enhance bilateral ties between Slovenia and the Maldives in the years to ahead.
Ambassador thanked the Foreign Minister and reassured the Minister of his commitment to enhancing the ties between Slovenia and the Maldives during his tenure.
Minister Iruthisham Adam was accompanied by Foreign Secretary Her Excellency Fathimath Inaya, Secretary Her Excellency Dr. Hala Hameed, State Minister His Excellency Mohamed Shahyb, Senior Political Director Mr. Ahmed Haanee Naeem and Deputy Desk Officer Ms. Aminath Iba Abdullah Rasheed.
