The first resident Ambassador of the Maldives to Qatar presents credentials to the Amir of the State of Qatar

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Maldives to the State of Qatar, His Excellency Adam Shareef Umar, presented his Letter of Credence to the Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, today. The ceremony took place at Lusail Palace in Doha, Qatar.

During the audience that followed, Ambassador Adam Shareef Umar conveyed warm greetings and good wishes from the President of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, as well as from the Government and the people of the Maldives to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir and the people of the State of Qatar. The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for Qatar’s longstanding support for the Maldives’ development efforts and reaffirmed the Maldives’ commitment to further strengthening the longstanding partnership through expanded high-level engagement and enhanced cooperation across areas of mutual interest.

His Highness the Amir wished the Ambassador success in the discharge of his duties and expressed confidence that the close bilateral relations between the Maldives and the State of Qatar would continue to strengthen during his tenure.

The Ambassador expressed his pride in representing the Maldives in the State of Qatar and reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening the longstanding friendship and bilateral cooperation between the Maldives and the State of Qatar during his tenure.

The Ambassador was accompanied by the Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Maldives in the State of Qatar, Mr. Mohamed Thahseen.
