The newly appointed Non-resident High Commissioner of the Republic of Namibia to the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Alex L. Tukuhupwele, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Iruthisham Adam, today, following the presentation of his Letters of Credence to His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
Minister Iruthisham congratulated High Commissioner Tukuhupwele on his appointment and expressed confidence that his tenure would contribute to strengthening the relations between the Maldives and Namibia.
During the meeting, the Minister reaffirmed the Maldives’ commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations with Namibia and enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The Minister also underscored the importance of closer engagement with African countries and continued cooperation in multilateral fora. The meeting concluded with both sides exploring new avenues for cooperation for the mutual benefit of the peoples of both countries.
Foreign Minister Iruthisham was accompanied by Foreign Secretary Her Excellency Fathimath Inaya, Secretary Her Excellency Dr. Hala Hameed, ާAmbassador at- large His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Shiham Hassan, Additional Secretary Khadeeja Najeeha, and Assistant Director Mohamed Shujau.
